Problem with Frames
Hi all

Have a .htm page that is sub-divided by frames into the frames rTop, left and main.  Now I have my log in form in the rTop frame.  I need to load the next page in the frame main if the users logs in successfully, any suggestions on how to do this??

Why are you using frames? Eventually you cantry an iframe.

Re: Problem with Frames
hi Mike, change the scr attribute for the appropriate frame. If you use ASP.NET - you want to call RegisterStartupScript when user got logged and do something like that within your script block:

//
window.parent.document.getElementById('myFrameId'). scr = 'RedirectTarget.aspx';

please, mind that this purely a concept. you have to secure that redirect (I would create a session var, confirming, that the user passed authorization.

cheers,
Dmitry

P.S. generally Frames is a source of the hassle (due to their 'asynchronizm' :-), so I agree wih Roshal - IFrames would be a better solution. Or you may create a kind of templated control, which will allow to change contents, keeping general GUI organization the same.
