Hi All,

Is there a problem having Visual studio.net 2003, and Visual source safe (latest version) running on the same machine???

That configuration works fine. I've been using it for over a year and haven't experienced any problems.

Out of interest which product had you installed first.  Am using the VSS that come with VB6.  Maybe I should rephrase my question...can I have Visual basic 6 and Visual studio.net 2003 on the same machine??

Yeah, you can have VB 6, VS .NET 2003 (with VB.NET) and VSS from Visual Studio 6.0 on the same machine. And you can use that VSS both with VB6 and VS 2003. I was using such a setup in my last job. No difference in which product you install first.

The only problem is (or was, maybe it is fixed now) with MSDN Library - VS 6.0 uses differenct viewer (and file format?) than VS.NET - you will probably have to install two versions of Library.

If you are doing one-person development, you may be interested in looking at SourceGear's Vault instead of VSS. That is a great product, in my opinion it performs much better than VSS. For personal use it is free.
