I have a service that runs on each print server in a network and it registers a well known service type which is in charge of monitoring various aspects of that server. These are wrapped up in a class that I want to instantiate from a client application using RemotingConfiguration.RegisterWellKnownClientType.
The question is how do I go about registering the same type as being created by a number of servers and selecting between them to instantiate a particular instance of the object?

Merrion,
I'm not sure exactly what you mean in your question, but are you looking to create a list of remote objects which can then be enumerated on the client side?
If its just some basic remoting help you are looking for, you could try
http://www.c-sharpcenter.com/csnet/remoting/remoting.asp
for a good introduction. The site seems to be down at the moment... so try Google's cache instead.

I am looking for the same type to be supplied by two (or more) different servers.
I have found that RegisterWellKnownClientType is not the way to do this, but rather
Activator.CreateInstance
with the appropriate server url in the activationParameters...
..not that it is working yet [O][co][C]
